DOC SEP - Seperate a Document file into multiple files

PURPOSE

Use value found in a specifed document file register as an index to direct the document file line to different document files. Can separate a single file into multiple files.   Example.

USAGE

.OPERATION: DOC SEP

.INPUT DOCUMENT FILE: DOC001
[Enter name of input document file.]

.REGISTER COL. USED FOR SEPARATION (0 IS KEY): 1
[Enter number of the register in the document file which servs to distinguish which output document file should receive the current line. This register will be truncated to an integer.]

.OUTPUT DOCUMENT FILE TEMPLATE: ALIGN_***
[Enter template for the output document file. The variable portion of the template is replaced by the value in the index register .]

.OPTIONAL DOCUMENT FILE HEADER: KEY PSI, THE, PHI, REF#
[Optional header comment placed in each output doc file.]

.SUMMARY DOCUMENT FILE: SUMMARY_DOC
[Enter name of output document file that will get a summary of the index values encountered and the number of occurances of each index value. This can be used as a selection file for the output doc files.]

NOTES

  1. Original key numbers are retained within each document file.
