HI DR - Histogram - output in Document file, use specified Range

PURPOSE

Computes the histogram of an image for a specified range of densities and puts the histogram in user specified document file.   Example.

USAGE

.OPERATION: HI DR

.INPUT FILE: PIC027
[Enter the name of the file containing the image.]

.HISTOGRAM RANGE MIN, MAX: 0.1, 1.2
[Only original pixel values within this range will be included in the histogram.]

.DOCUMENT FILE: DOC001
[Enter name of output document file]

A 128 bin histogram of the image values will be computed and put into the DOCUMENT file. The following information will also be printed out:

NOTES

  1. The histogram is no longer permanently kept in the file header (1995).
